The Bank/BS that provided you both with the mortgage really,
really don`t give a damn about who is where or who did what and what you or they think is going to happen Etc.
They ONLY want their mortgage
payments and they care not who makes them as long as they do.
You get two to three months lapse and then they WILL pursue for repossession.
If you wish to sell and divide the proceeds in the future (divorce)
then do yourself a favour and make the full payments to protect any future equity when the property is sold.
If you think you are in minus equity- Go out and spend the mortgage
payments on good times and saddle her with EQUAL negative equity when the bank auctions the property for less than market value.
