My wife and I have full custody of our grandson.
He suffered brain damage and seizures and is now facing a pending Fetal Alcohol Syndrome diagnosis.
Our son refuses to pay child support,
or even to communicate with us.
The mother refuses to pay medical reimbursements.
Both have refused to secure the court ordered psych evals,
he is a clinically diagnosed alcoholic who was thrown out of rehab for a violence related infraction.
She is clinically diagnosed bipolar with severe drug/alcohol dependency issues.
Before and after we were awarded Permanent Custody she has had 2 boyfriends threaten to stab (this one convicted in criminal court)
or kill my wife (this one was our own son who was living with her after we got Permanent Custody).
Our grandson is beaten when he is on visitation with her and has come home with the wounds 3x.
We know we have to go back to court,
is it reasonable to expect overnight visitation and even unsupervised visitation to be revoked?
Do Family Courts take this seriously or is our developmentally disabled grandson condemned to having these two inflicted upon him with no oversight//protection?
We`re already talking to our attorney about going back with a stack of Show Cause petitions,
but what outcomes are likely?
