The cell phone company which has the best coverage depends on where the person live. Well, Verizon has the best coverage. The best feature of this phone company is in case if they are unable to support the services in some areas, they do partnership with other cell phone companies to provide coverage in those areas. Tracfone has the best coverage I`ve seen so far. They use the major carrier networks and roaming is free. Long distance (and even international calls to some countries) are the same cost as a local call. Its the one I roll with.

If you just need a cell phone that will work almost anywhere in the US you should go with Verizon as their network has the largest coverage of any of the big cell phone providers in the US. Sprint and AT&T also offer large coverage areas but personally I have had a lot of network busy and dropped calls on AT&T so I can`t recommend them unless you desperately want an Iphone from Apple.

It`s got to be NET10. Why not one of the major carriers, you ask? Well, NET10 uses three of the major carriers` networks (Verizon, AT&T & T-Mobile). That way they are able to always give you the best network in your area. They don`t charge for roaming either, btw. The best is that they are also much less expensive than any of the major carriers when it comes to prepaid service. I`ve used them for two years now and have no reservations about recommending them.

That`s a tough question with a lot of details to work out. First of all, your coverage area. The Mid-Atlantic states (PA, NY) are the hardest states in the country to get reception (especially when it comes to data services), while areas like the Southwest (AZ, TX, NM) are much easier. In my experience, Cingular (now AT&T) has the best overall coverage, getting bout three indicator bars of service just about everywhere, even in the state where I live (PA), which is statistically the hardest state in which to get cell phone reception; and they are putting up more and more towers all over. However, I got great reception just about everywhere when I drove across the country with my Sprint phone (I even get great data service coverage). The next object of discussion is price. Monthly billing between AT&T and Verizon is identical except that with AT&T you get the benefit of rollover, and it`s easier and cheaper to replace your phone if something happens to it, as long as your SIM card (which CDMA-Technology Verizon, Sprint carriers do not have) is intact. Also, a GSM phone company (like AT&T) stores its numbers in the SIM card, so when you upgrade your phone, all you have to do is put your SIM card in and go! no programing! And your address book transfers! The cost and style of telephone is also something to consider. I have had many, many cell phones myself (and I have repaired a good number of them) and I strongly suggest avoiding Samsungs and Motorolas. The best manufacturers (and you can check out the J.D. Power and Associates web site if you don`t believe me) are going to be LG and Sanyo (Sanyo only makes phones for Sprint and companies that Sprint (a CDMA technology company) owns (Like Qwest, or Embarq, both owned by Sprint). Some carriers don`t offer much choice, though, For example, Nextel (iDEN technology, alos has a SIM card and walkie-talkie service even when you get no reception, up to 6 miles distance) only offers Motorola phones. Lastly, I hope you have good credit, because Cingular and Verizon especially are notorious for requesting outlandish ($500) deposits on accounts!
