Someone said: Your a moron. You don't just get TSS. It is VERY rare, but still fatal. The Max. is usually 8 hours, but you need to change it frequently. That smell could just be you. I had that problem when I was just blossoming into a woman. It'll go away with time. Just keep your legs crossed. However, if the smell sticks around, and you don't like it, go see a DR.

Toxic shock occurs when you wear your tampon too long. i would also suggest using pads since they do not cause TSS and it is easier to know when to change.

Why is my tampon green?

I am 16 and have had periods since the age of 12. Up until recently they were normal, but I have now been getting green-ish goo on my tampon when I take it out. I am a virgin and have done nothing sexually so I haven`t got an STI. The goo doesn`t smell and I am not experiencing much pain, just that my periods are heavier than normal. Any advice?!
